Christian von Eckartsberg is a founding Design Principal of BCV Architects. A LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. von Eckartsberg has a passion for hospitality projects that celebrate the intersection of food, wine and sustainable lifestyle design. Mr. von Eckartsberg’s interest in Lifestyle/Food-related design has led him to pursue diverse projects, including major Hospitality projects, Food Market Halls, Food Service and Specialty Retail, Restaurants Wineries, Hotels as well as Residential and Mixed-Use developments.
Highly experienced with Hospitality and specialty food service projects, Mr. von Eckartsberg directed BCV’s award-winning design for San Francisco’s wine collective/lounge concept Press Club as well as the striking Napa Farms Market at San Francisco International Airport. Mr. von Eckartsberg’s other Market Hall projects include Hudson Eats in downtown Manhattan, the acclaimed Oxbow Market in Napa and the celebrated Ferry Building Marketplace. Among Mr. von Eckartsberg’s extensive restaurant and retail work is the elegant re-envisioning of Elite Cafe, M.Y. China for celebrity chef Martin Yan, and the German Beer Hall Schroeder’s, in San Francisco’s Financial District.
